川外德语系在国内专业排名前五（因为每一年的评选都拥有变化，各个平台的评选标准也不一，不少地方的排名都明显不同但都集中在前五名），川外德语专业在重庆也是重点专业，从 至今相继建成为国家级特色专业建设点、重庆人才培养模式创新实验区、重庆专业综合改革试点专业、重庆首批立项建设的特色专业，并且设立了国家级德国研究中心（全国仅两所国家级德国研究中心），设立了国内唯一的歌德研究所和海涅研究中心。是专业性、研究性很强的院系。☆ 在留学方面川外德语系有不少留学项目（很多就不一一说明了）从大二启动到大四都拥有，有的班级（因为是小班制教学，一个班唯有30不到的人）到了大四班里的人都寥寥无几，因为都去国外留学或者交换了。☆ 在学校念书内，德语系一直拥有着来自全国的优秀的生源，学习风气很浓，系内的竞争也相对较大。☆ 师资力量方面德语专业始建于1960年发展至今已有很健全的师资体系，德语系教学团队Team是重庆级优秀教学团队Team，我们全体教师都具有在德语国家学习就读或短时间研修的经历，这当中博士生导师1人，硕士生导师7人，教授3人，博士11人，这当中也有在国际上德语语言文学领域获取巨大成就的老师，全部的学生都可以学习这些老师的课程。☆ 总来说之，单论德语专业水平，不管是教学资源还是发展底蕴，川外德语系在国内一定能与北外上外的德语专业放在同一队列进行比较。☆

先说结论北外德语考研比上外德语考研难。北北京以外国语大学是坐落在我国首都京城的211院校，学校学科优势明显，面向全国招生，就业很好。每一年吸引了很多985211院校学生前来报考。上外德语考研没有北外德语考研这么激烈，但是，其竞争难度也很大，主要是因为其坐落在主要的经济中心上海。
